What We Love (by Owner)

Set in coveted Piney Point Village, this house has truly been a home for our family – all of our six children have grown up here! Claymore is a quiet street and Memorial Drive Elementary is the smallest and best public elementary school in Spring Branch ISD, averaging 15 students per class, whereas nearby Hunter’s Creek and Bunker Hill typically have over 25 students per class. We've felt safe with our kids riding bikes to and from MDE, Spring Branch Middle and Memorial High. They can stay on the sidewalks, and everyone in the neighborhood is all too familiar with carpool time and looking out for little ones crossing streets. We are far enough from Voss, I-10, and Memorial that I do not worry about major traffic.

Every inch of square footage in this home is usable space, so no room goes untouched. The home has a more casual floorplan than some other homes, which has been perfect for us. We have a big family and the usable space allows everyone an area of peace and quiet to do homework or relax when needed, while also offering ample space to gather with friends and family.

The layout of the home is built with privacy in mind with the master on the lower level, set off to the side, while the additional bedrooms are upstairs, giving the kids their own space as well. There are laundry rooms on both the first and second floors, which is extremely helpful for our large family, as are the double dishwashers when trying to keep up with the dishes of eight-plus people each day. The massive 4-car garage is great with driving teenagers and lots of bikes to store. The finishes, stone and wood floors, and seagrass carpet, have been indestructible due to the high-quality materials. The house is set back from the street, creating additional privacy. In the backyard, we use the pool and cabana area year-round, and the adjacent large grassy green space is perfect for volleyball and football games, while still having space for a trampoline. Our kids are constantly playing in the yard with their friends.

There are well-appointed half bathrooms throughout the home by the pool, off of the playroom, near the dining room, and off of the hallway near the garage. The light and bright finishes are amplified by the home’s southern-facing orientation and big windows that allow sunlight to flood the space. Double closets in the master bedroom, huge secondary closets upstairs, built-ins in the garage, and a mudroom are excellent for storage.

As we leave this home for the next chapter in our family's life, we are filled with gratitude for the memories we have made here with our incredible neighbors and friends.
